Notice of Race

Venue
The
Formula 18 Open Dutch Championship 2003 and the iF20 Open Dutch Championship
will be held on the Markermeer near Muiderzand.
Organising
Authority
The
Organising Authority is “ZV de Roerkoning”, the KNWV (Royal Netherlands
Yachting Union), in cooperation with Regatta Service Europe and the Dutch
Formula 18 Class Association and the Dutch Formula 20 Class Association.
Rules
The
regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS)2001-2004 (except
as changed by the Notice of Race or the Sailing Instructions), the rules of the
F18 class or the iF20 class, the Notice of Race, the Sailing Instructions, the
KNWV Championship Rules, ‘Reglement voor Kampioenschappen Zeilen en
Windsurfen’.
Eligibility
At
least one member on board should be a member of the National Authority (RRS 75).

Entry
fees will be Euro 50,-- to be paid at registration.

Courses
Windward/leeward with a leeward gate will be used.
Scoring
The
Low Point Scoring System RRS Appendix A will apply, with 6 races scheduled and 4
races required to constitute a Championship and series.
If
5 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total
of her race scores excluding her worst score.
Jury
A
jury will be appointed by the organising authority.
Sailing
Instructions
The
Sailing Instructions will be made available at registration.
Prizes
Prizes
will be awarded to each member of the crews placing first, second and third. The
winner in the Formula 18 Class acquires the title ‘Dutch Champion’ and will
receive the ‘KNWV ribbon’ and a medal.
Disclaimer
of Liability
The
organising committee, or any other party involved in the event organisation will
not accept any liability whatsoever. Competitors participate in the series
entirely at their own risk.
Insurance
All
competitors entering the race must have third party liability insurance with
sufficient coverage, with a minimum cover of Euro 700,000 per event or the
equivalent. Proof of this insurance must be presented at registration.

Facilities
Sufficient
parking space is available, please follow the instructions of the transport
crew.
